Health & Bible Worker Certificate
The Lord Jesus wants you! Everywhere there are hearts crying out for health, life, and peace, and there is no time to lose! They need a practical illustration of God’s love, and Jesus needs you to be that illustration! It’s time to make Christ’s work your example and learn how to use His methods to reach these people.
	This Course exists because we can no longer ignore the fact that the gospel plan of ministering is teaching, preaching, AND healing. Why did Jesus spend more time healing than preaching? Ministering to a person’s physical needs, especially their ill-health, opens the way to the heart. Christ’s method was to mingle with people, share His genuine sympathy, minister to their needs, and win their confidence - then they were ready to follow Him. This same method is what will give you true success in reaching the people, for Christ’s way of presenting truth cannot be improved.
God has promised that "...the gospel minister will be twice as succesful in his work if he understands how to treat disease.." and has clearly stated that if medical missionary work is separated from the gospel, that "the work will be crippled!" We do not want any of our students to be crippled, so we must teach you how to teach, preach AND heal, that you may most effectively meet the gospel commission! Our Saviour showed that Christlike work for the body and Christlike work for the soul is the true interpretation of the gospel, and this Course will inspire and prepare you to follow in His footsteps and effectively reveal God’s character of love to the world. Some special features include: Character & Life There will be plenty of practical faith building experiences. The Gospel Medical Missionary must be in tune with the Master Healer & with nature, and God designs that students live in the country and be trained to be able to turn his or her hand to meet any need. Practical usefulness comes as you gain experience in the kitchen, the home, the garden, the orchard, the building site, the workshop, in ministry, etc. This will give you the balanced educational experience God designed you for, and will expand the mind, strengthen the body and develop the character. Become a master and not a slave to circumstances, an effective soldier for Christ!
	Community Work/Grass Roots Evangelism "Grass Roots" evangelism is what we call our busy & practical witness in our local community. Because "Christ’s methods alone will bring true success in reaching the people..." we help wherever they have a need - lawn mowing, gardening, cleaning, reading, listening, counseling, cooking, treatments, farm work, fixing things - whatever! Are you ready to serve? Are you ready to win their confidence?
Practical Health & Healing Your success as a worker for Christ depends upon your ability to find a way to the heart, and there is nothing as effective as personal advice & care for the sick. A knowledge of anatomy & physiology, an understanding of disease and its treatment, of simple natural remedies, hydrotherapy & massage, and especially "The 8 True Remedies" will prepare you to provide practical and healing help. Accompanied by lifestyle education, these natural means, used in accordance with God’s will, bring about supernatural results. You will learn to apply this remedy in the community and in our home-like health retreat. Cert. IV in Presenting Community Health Education Programs This nationally recognised training and AUSTUDY approved course is embedded in your Health & Bible Worker Certificate, and prepares you to present nutrition, cooking and health programs in churches & the community. Run in conjunction with Victorian Conference of SDA’s Health Department. Health Evangelism Health EXPO’s, CHIP programs, cooking schools, health lectures, natural remedies workshops, in-home counselling and treatments, etc, etc. These public programs, along with personal ministry to those in need, comprise "the entering wedge" that God has counseled us to use to open people’s mind to His love. "Restoration of the body prepares the way for the restoration of the soul..." You will plan & deliver these programs until they become second nature!
	Bible Boot Camp You will learn how to share the fundamentals of our faith and key Bible doctrines with a Bible marked with each powerful study, and the confidence to go out and use them! Note: Bible Boot Camp can be taken separately from the Certificate.
Doorknocking/Bible Studies Have the fear of meeting people knocked out of you! When using Christ’s method, there is no hard sell or manufactured methods. Effective approaches will enable you to find people with an interest in spiritual things that you can develop friendships with, and share your testimony and God’s love with. You can then encourage them to get involved with your Care Group, or begin Bible studies where you can share with them God’s saving truths, through to a decision for Christ. Public Evangelism In 2010 we will be working with Pr. Danny Milenkov and his youth evangelism team at Wauchope! Be involved with Care Group ministry, prayer meeting, preach & take Sabbath School classes in local churches, and help run the 2010 U_Turn mission. These programs will dovetail synergistically with the health evangelism efforts - learn how to combine "The Cycle of Evangelism" with "The Entering Wedge".
	Pacific Mission Trip This is the icing on the cake! This is 3rd world evangelism experience that will change your life! You will support those on the front lines of the work in difficult fields, and become personally involved in the daily struggles of the local people. You won’t believe the blessings you will experience as you minister to their needs!
